The EVAW kit 'A Life Free of Violence: It's Our Right!' is available for download on the gender resources page. Also added in the last month is information from the regional conference on Empowering Women Migrant Workers in Asia, including the Jakarta Recommendations on women migrants.

4 December 2003

The regional EVAW conference on domestic violence legislation came to a successful conclusion, and the proceedings of the workshop are available on the EVAW programme page. Also added in the past month is a story about UNIFEM's intervention to promote an innovative weaving project in Timor Leste. The next month will see the regional conference on Empowering Women Migrant Workers in Asia (to be held in Jakarta on December 9-11). Check back for updates on the conference proceedings.

Welcome to the redesigned website for the UNIFEM East and Southeast Asia Regional Office in Bangkok. We have added a lot of new material to the site, including a newsroom and individual country pages. The homepage has been revised, with new links directly to some of our main programmes: Eliminating Violence Against Women, Empowering Women Migrant Workers, and our soon to be launched programme on CEDAW in Southeast Asia.
