Jean D'Cunha joined
UNIFEM in June, 2000 and is the
Regional Programme Director. Previously she was the Regional Advisor/Programme Manager of the Regional Programme on Empowering Women Migrant Workers
in Asia. Jean trained as a sociologist, and
has researched many aspects of female sexuality including
prostitution and trafficking, and women and violence. She has
written on gender concerns for Indian and international journals,
lectured in the Department of Sociology at St. Xavier's College, and
won a national award for journalism on women's issues in India in
1986. As well as working with UNIFEM, Jean is involved with an
international research project on women in international migration.

Shanan Mitaim
is the Programme Associate
for the CEDAW SEAP Programme. She joined
UNIFEM in April 2002 as the programme assistant for Engendering
Economic Governance Programme. She graduated with a Masters degree
in Business Administration, majoring in Finance from Seattle
University, USA. Her previous work experience includes investment
banking, lending, and project finance. |

Rachit Boonyawiroj
joined UNIFEM, CEDAW SEAP in April 2004 as a Finance Assistant
to the Project. Her previous employment was with a CIDA
supported project where she was a Finance and Administration
Manager. She is familiar with Human Rights and Gender issues.

Amarsanaa
Darisuren is a deputy programme manager for CEDAW
SEAP. Prior to joining UNIFEM, she was a programme officer
for Asia Pacific Forum on Women Law and Development (APWLD).
She had extensive experience in gender and women’s human
rights for more than 10 years at national and regional level.
